OCD: Off, Closed, Done · Last updated 20 October 2026
OCD: Off, Closed, Done is a simple checklist app. This page explains what it does and doesn't do with your information.
OCD has no accounts and no server. Everything you type (list names, items, custom items, which items you've checked) is saved only in your browser's storage on your own device, or inside the app on your phone. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded anywhere.
If you delete the app, clear your browser data, or switch devices, your lists are not transferred unless you use the Export and Import buttons, which save a file you control.
To understand how OCD is used, we count a small number of events, for example "a list was created" or "an item was checked". These events include counts only (such as how many items a list has). They never include the names of your lists or items, or anything you type.
For this we use PostHog, an analytics service (PostHog Inc., data stored in the United States). PostHog records a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use cookies, we do not record your screen, and we do not track you across other websites. You can block this with any content blocker; OCD works the same without it.
The web version is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may log the IP address of visitors. See GitHub's privacy statement.
If you install OCD from the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports and basic install statistics under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your name or contact details from them.
We do not sell or share your information. We do not show ads. We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
OCD is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
